The Fördergemeinschaft Grauer Reiter e.V. – supporting association for Hohenkrähen Castle.
When a group of senior members founded the Fördergemeinschaft Grauer Reiter in 1956, the primary goal was to take on the legal and organisational responsibilities – arising from the newly signed agreement between the Count and the scouts on the use of the two ruins below the castle – on behalf of the scouts, and thus the children and young people. Decades later, nothing has changed: the Fördergemeinschaft still consists mainly of former and adult scouts who look after the two now-restored houses and support the Pfadfinderschaft Grauer Reiter.
As the official tenants of both houses, we create a space in beautiful surroundings where children and young people from near and far can develop freely. The houses are available not only to the Pfadfinderschaft Grauer Reiter, but also to other bündisch and scout groups.
